Stories from Indigenous Teacher Education Programs
The RHF has collaborated with Canadian Geographic and engaged with Indigenous language speakers and educators from across Canada to share stories of the past, present and future of the Teacher Education Programs (TEPs), their communities and the resounding impact of their contributions to Indigenous teacher education.
Using StoryMaps and videos, this interactive platform showcases the evolution of Indigenous Teacher Education Programs (ITEP) in Canada and the impact on those who have benefited nationwide.
StoryMaps
Indigenous Teacher Education Programs are deeply connected to place, language, and community. To help make these programs more visible, we have created an interactive ITEP Map, showcasing where and how Indigenous teacher education is happening across Canada.

Story Corner
Our Story Corner video series features short, powerful reflections from ITEP students, educators and program leaders across the country. Each story shares lived experience from Indigenous teacher education and why these pathways matter.
