The Rideau Hall Foundation (RHF) and Indspire are pleased to announce a three-year collaboration on the Teach for Tomorrow: Indigenous Educator Apprenticeship Program to increase Indigenous student success by growing the number of Indigenous teachers in classrooms across Canada.

The program provides a seamless approach for students to transition through high school into university by providing college level courses to become certified as Education Assistants with eventual access to the Bachelor of Education and Arts degrees at the University of Winnipeg.

This partnership will expand the program to a second location deepening the Rideau Hall Foundation’s commitment to allyship and supporting Indigenous youth on their education and career journey. It also supports the learnings from the Rideau Hall Foundation’s recent youth gathering about the importance of having Indigenous peoples “at the front of the room” as teachers, leaders and mentors, and integrating Indigenous culture and tradition into the learning experience.
