Created by the Rideau Hall Foundation in 2018, Canadian Innovation Week is a five-day celebration recognizing and supporting ingenuity across all sectors.  It’s an opportunity for organizations across the country to share stories of inspiring Canadian innovators and of innovations that are changing the world.

CIW 2021 was the most successful yet, with the Innovation Week hashtag reaching 60 Million impressions from 2400+ unique authors with over 5000 posts.  We’d love it if you’d get involved in 2022!

This year’s Innovation Week will be asking Canadians why and how they innovate. To start the conversation, we will be highlighting five thematic days:

We would love to add you to our list of Canadian Innovation Week partners for 2022.  There are no obligations associated with CIW; we hope that partners will use the week as an opportunity to showcase the incredible and innovative things going on in your organization and in your network. We just ask that you help spread the word about Canadian Innovation Week on social media and invite you to use #CIW22 to amplify your stories leading up to, and during the week of May 16-20.

CIW is a virtual celebration that happens across social media. It is an opportunity to share stories about your organizations programming and leaders in your network along with organizations across the country. Partners are encouraged to post on social media and use the hashtag to gain more engagement. Partners can also host their own events during Canadian Innovation Week which we would include on our website and in our newsletter.

As we get closer to May, we will begin promoting the full event list via our newsletters and on social media.
