Mi’kmaq Wolastoqey Centre – University of New Brunswick
The Mi’kmaq Wolastoqey Centre at the University of New Brunswick received a $1.99 million grant in 2024 from the RHF's Indigenous Teacher Education Initiative for their project Culturally Grounded Indigenous Teachers.
A $1,999,000 grant toward their five-year project, Culturally Grounded Indigenous Teachers, will redesign the Bachelor of Education program to include Indigenous language immersion with a land-based approach.
