Founded by the Rideau Hall Foundation (RHF) in 2021, Catapult Canada supports community-based organizations across Canada to improve educational outcomes for youth through a wide range of innovative approaches. To date, the program has awarded more than $9 million to 48 projects across Canada that are helping young people achieve their learning and career goals.
The RHF is delighted to announce a new partnership with the Azrieli Foundation valued at $4 million to fund a new cohort of Catapult Canada projects. “Thanks to the incredible generosity of the Azrieli Foundation, many more youth-focused organizations across Canada will have much needed support in providing learning opportunities to particularly vulnerable groups, such as newcomers to Canada and youth facing barriers as a result of fleeing trauma, as well as youth not in education or employment (NEET),” said Teresa Marques, President and CEO of the Rideau Hall Foundation. The first invitation for project proposals will be made available by the RHF in October 2023.
The partnership between the RHF and the Azrieli Foundation is expected to positively impact approximately 2,500 youth along with an estimated 7,000+ indirect beneficiaries each year. “At the Azrieli Foundation, we believe education is the greatest accelerator of success,” said Naomi Azrieli, Chair and CEO of the Azrieli Foundation. “Our partnership with the RHF will positively impact 2,500 young people and 7,000+ indirect beneficiaries every year – and have ripple effects in communities across the country for years to come.”
